BPC-157: short for "Body Protection Compound 157", is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide modeled on a protective protein found naturally in the gut. It's a cult favorite in the recovery and longevity world.

In published preclinical research (mostly animal and cell studies), it's best known for supporting tissue repair, tendon, ligament, muscle and gut lining, and for promoting angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels, in part by upregulating VEGF.
